Annual golf day strikes gold!

York Against Cancer’s annual golf day struck gold again this year, with more than £12,000 being raised for our charity.

Generous members, professionals and sponsors all dug deep to make it a memorable fundraising event at York Golf Club, Strensall.

Organiser Ralph Magee, a long-serving director of our charity, said:  '"With so many records being broken again at this year's YAC Golf Day, it is difficult to single out one reason why the event regularly brings in a five-figure sum for our great charity.

“It's just a great team effort by sponsors, members of York Golf Club, the two professionals there, and those who donate auction and raffle prizes. I would like to say a big thank-you to all who helped this possible - another bonus was that it didn't rain!''

This year's main golf day sponsors were Scott Anscomb of Your Move Anscomb, who kindly acted as auctioneer for the night; Steve Foots of Croda International and Martyn Turnbull of Turnbulls Mazda, York.
