Generous donation from York business

We’re hugely indebted to Mike and Stephanie Gaskell, owners of Little Saffrons, York, who have given us a massive selection of gorgeous cards as they streamline their business.

Mike and Stephanie have shut their shop in Stonegate, which sold cards, to concentrate on their stunning gift boutique in Shambles, and decided to pass on their excess stock for us to sell.

“We’ve actually attended one or two of York Against Cancer’s charity events and I have seen your shop as I have been driving past,” said Mike. “I thought we would be a good match and I’m pleased that the stock is going to such a nice charity.”

We stand to benefit even more in the future, as Mike is looking to pass on some of his giftware items for us to sell.

“We are overwhelmed by this generosity,” said our general manager Julie Russell. “We’ll make the most of it to raise as much money as we can for our work.”
