Tarnia Harrison and Julie Russell enjoy tea poured by Simon Thompson of The Grand Hotel, York

The Grand Hotel helps York Against Cancer's Feathers & Pearls Ball

15th September 2017

Yorkshire’s only five-star hotel is helping us prepare for a major date in our 30th anniversary year.

The Grand Hotel, Station Rise, is supporting our Feathers & Pearls Ball by offering partygoers the chance to win Champagne Afternoon Tea for two in its stunning The Rise restaurant.

And the hotel invited ball organisers Tarnia Hudson and Julie Russell to sample a taste of what the winners can expect when they draw their lucky ticket at the ball at York Racecourse on September 23.

Tickets for the ball are still available, priced £75, and can be bought direct from us at http://www.yorkagainstcancer.org.uk/events/feathers-and-pearls-ball-23rd-september

Julie Russell, our General Manager, thanked The Grand Hotel for its generous gesture. “The afternoon tea is absolutely delicious,” she said. “It will make a fabulous prize for whoever is fortunate enough to win it.”

Tarnia agreed. “We are so grateful to businesses like The Grand Hotel for supporting our event,” she said. “Without them, we couldn’t make it a success.”

Louise Gee, Director of Sales at The Grand Hotel, said: “It’s our pleasure to support York Against Cancer in their birthday year. We know it’s a fantastic local good cause and we wish everyone a terrific night on September 23.”

The Grand Hotel’s Champagne Afternoon Tea is among a range of great prizes up for grabs at the spectacular Feathers & Pearls Ball, which celebrates our 30th anniversary.

A drinks reception and exclusive three-course meal are also planned, along with dancing to live party band Pure Silk.
