The Pavers Foundation Supports York Against Cancer

We are overwhelmed to have been given a hugely generous £10,000 donation from The Pavers Foundation on behalf of Graham Paver, Trustee of the Pavers Shows charity initiative.

The donation follows a £1,500 gift that The Pavers Foundation made to us by sponsoring the Shepherd Group Brass Band concert that raised money for us last Christmas.

Both donations will help us to continue providing support to patients and families affected by cancer in York, North and East Yorkshire.

Presenting the £10,000 cheque to our general manager, Julie Russell, Graham Paver said: “Often local charities can be missed when in the running for funding like this. The Pavers Foundation aims to donate to causes that give back to our local community.

“We are thrilled to be able to help such a wonderful charity that provides vital support for people who are, or have been, affected by cancer.”

Julie said: “As a charity we rely entirely on fundraising and donation efforts, and so to receive a sum like this is fantastic. The donation will support families and patients living with cancer, and help fund a number of our services, whether it’s patient transport, providing families with a short break or funding pioneering cancer research.”
