Tea, anyone?

What could be lovelier than a cup of tea in an English country garden?

Joyce Jenkinson-Smith is inviting you to join her in her very own garden at The Granary, Acaster Malbis, when she opens it for York Against Cancer later this month.

Joyce is a cancer survivor who has used a number of our services including our minibus, treatments and wig fittings at York Cancer Care Centre, and she now wants to raise money for us. “I wanted to give something back,” she says. 

Joyce’s garden will be open from 2pm-6pm on June 25, and as well as exploring it visitors can enjoy tea and cakes and browse bric-a-brac and plant stalls. There will also be a raffle and a tombola to raise money for York Against Cancer funds. Entry is £2, and children go free. Parking is in the next-door farmyard and The Granary is a continuation of Mill Lane, Acaster Malbis, after the slipway to the river.
