York Family Race Day raises more than £15,000

It might not have been great weather, but we had a fantastically successful day at The Press Family Race Day. Racegoers gave us more than £15,000, many donating to the brave band of volunteers who turned out in the cold and wet for us.

We also had an extremely kind donation from the York Racecourse Committee, who presented our Chairman Professor Steve Leveson with a £5,000 cheque. It’s all a big boost for our 30th anniversary appeal in aid of our new mobile chemotherapy unit.

Thanks to everyone for their help, including Mark Pearson, Head of Media at Betfred, and the Betfred organisation itself, without whose generosity we would not have been able to take part.
